aLabel is part of a second generation family business group devoted to various
aspects of the garment label industry. It began several decades ago in Burma.
There one company produced khaki uniforms for the government while another was doing labels,
When the founders emigrated to the United States they followed the same pattern, initially
focusing on sewing contracts with one entit y while slowly building the label
business with another.
Lucky and Happy / Printex
Gradually the focus shifted entirely to labels, with Lucky and
Happy developing widely recognized expertise in woven and print labels of every
type, along with offset paper and tag stickers. About twenty years ago overseas
outsourcing of garment assembly became a new factor in the industry. This led
to a need for worldwide uniformity. We addressed this situation by developing
low-maintenance modular printing equipment especially well suited for remote
locations. This equipment is sold by Lucky and Happy's sister company, Printex.
